Peter Routtier-Wone
Mark Trescowthick described Peter Wone to a tee when he said "Peter, it wouldn't matter what anyone said about you, nothing would surprise me any more."
Peter was born in a part of Queensland which regards the rest of Australia as another country, sometimes out loud. In High School, two of his compatriots had a computer and were conspicuously debugging some code during a science class. Not to be outdone, he built his own pc and upset the other two by discovering that he was much better at it than them.
That fact, combined with a couple of years in the Army, running networks for a Queensland building company and a four year stint in R&D for GUI Computing, led him to a fascination with things digital led inevitably to the net, where he met this girl…
Most recently, Peter started his own company, Wombat & Me Pty Ltd, so that he and his partner Nell could pursue their commercial interests of custom control development and preparing websites. Peter does the former, while Nell does the latter, although in practice the two are closely related because web pages can use ActiveX controls. You can check them out at http://www.wamoz.com
