Wedding of the Year

The Wedding of the Year?
Well ex-GUI staffer Adam Maloney certainly made a splash, in any event.

As you can see, Adam and new wife Jackie
made a fine couple in full Medieval regalia although, as
usual, Adam could have done with a quick haircut! The hitching and reception were both held at the most appropriate venue imaginable - Melbourne's Montsalvat Castle - and a very fine time was had by all. It was a great celebration, only marred, so this dog hears, by GUI El Supremo Mark Trescowthick's slightly incoherent ramblings. Apparently, this is what he calls a "speech". But how could anyone be taken seriously looking like he did (see below!)? Jackie and Adam are now resident in beautiful downtown Mount Tom Price (where Jackie spends her time digging up rocks, or analysing them, or something like that), but they made a special trip to Melbourne to tie the knot. |

GUI boss Trescowthick was in full
'Nostradamus' mode. It was interesting that he chose to wear the cute little bonnet... could it have been because the wedding was held on a Saturday afternoon when his beloved Geelong Cats were doing battle with the Western Bulldogs on the Aussie Rules field? Certainly, he made numerous "predictions" as to the scores, which were uncannily accurate... could that have been a miniature transistor radio in his boot, with a long lead attached to an earpiece under the bonnet??? Come what may, you must admit he cuts a fetching figure in a dress... Perhaps, though, he ought to look at a bit of hair replacement, if this pic is anything to go by. |

Other notable events at the party saw two GUI Senior Developers "developing their working relationship" to an extent rarely witnessed, so the rumour goes. And what were all those groups of people doing outside in the cold and damp sharing cigarettes? And why... well, you probably get the idea that a good time was had by all, and I suspect that the dog's legal eagles would want him to stop about now!
