Q. I would like to make an FXLabel have 2 effects. I want it to first slide down using effect '10', and then slide right using effect '53'.

I am very new to FXTools, and cannot figure out how to do this. Can I use two main effects?

A. It is possible. Set the 'UpdateArea' property to 'Update Rectangle'. Then set the 'UpdateX', 'UpdateY', 'UpdateW', and 'UpdateH' properties to define the area you would like to display. Set your effect to '10' and refresh the control.

Now change the update rectangle co-ordinates and effect to '53', then refresh the control again.
